Race, Power, and Urban Spaces
Carl Nightingale is a professor in the Department of Transnational Studies at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. His book Segregation: a Global History of Divided Cities was co-winner of the World HIstory Association Jerry Bentley award for best book in world history in 2012. He has published widely in the fields of African American history, critical race theory, urban history, and world history. He has worked as a volunteer for many community-based organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors for PUSH Buffalo (People United for Sustainable Housing).
