Race, Power, and Urban Spaces
Robert O. Self teaches modern U.S. history at Brown University. He has written widely about social movements and American politics since World War II, including American Babylon: Race and the Struggle for Postwar Oakland (2003) and All in the Family: The Realignment of American Democracy since the 1960s (2012). He has been awarded numerous fellowships, prizes, and teaching awards, including a Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship.
