Allison Miller has been editor of Perspectives on History, the newsmagazine of the American Historical Association, for the past year. She has a Ph.D. in the history of the modern United States from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and held a Mellon postdoctoral fellowship in the history of women, gender, and sexuality at the University of Southern California from 2013 to 2015. She is the author of many history-related publications. Her scholarly article "Am I Normal? American Vernacular Psychology and the Tomboy Body, 1900-1940" appeared in the journal Representations in 2013, and she has reviewed books for the Village Voice, the Nation, the Washington Post Book World, Newsday, and In These Times, among other venues.
